CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS
Yellow Cab of San Diego is looking for friendly, dependable, customer service-oriented
individuals for our 24/7 taxi call center. Candidates must be familiar with a keyboard
and able to type proficiently, handle large call volumes, assist customers by phone, and
multi-task. This is a Union position with benefits available.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Answers the telephone following a
script.
- Assists customers by phone who are
ordering a cab or inquiring on our service.
- Gives customers rate quotes when
asked.
- Checks on the status of the cab when
customers call back.
- Dispatches cabs via a computerized
dispatch system by entering required information using a
keyboard.
- Answers the main business line when needed and transfers callers to the appropriate areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education
degree (GED) and 1 to 3 months experience
and/or training in a high volume call center.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple
instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Must
be proficient in speaking and understanding
the English language. Spanish bilingual is
not required, but is a plus.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be familiar with a keyboard and able to
type proficiently. General knowledge of San
Diego and surrounding areas required.
Full-time, permanent employment,
with all shifts available.
Compensation is $8.00 per hour or $8.50
per hour if bilingual in Spanish.
